Failure or Time to Let GO…
The last couple of months I have been tossing around feelings and mental processes in regards to what I seem to deem as failure/s on the road called My life. In this day many people spouting new age beliefs about there is no such thing as failure? Then why is it a deeply programmed system within us? Why does failure appear constantly in the back grounds of our minds playing out causing giant waves of guilt flowing over about everything we say, eat, do or even think?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guilt_(emotion)

On this road called my life I walk “The Path”, The Red Road which I have learned from teachers of the First Nations People’s of many tribes. The road unlike new age is not meant to make you feel good, it is meant to bring you into relationship with all that exists and the long term is to bring you into complete and total balance, to the center of your personal medicine or wheel. Unlike a see saw a wheel pivoting on the center can become extremely off balanced with a wrong step, even small.

Take a round disked object and place it in the tip of your little finger in the very middle section make sure the disk does not have a hole. The Cherokee tell us that our wheel is suspended in the universe from the four direction edges that anything can break the string attached to each direction. You can see that your place on the wheel in the middle takes awareness, stability, attention because in one minute the whole wheel can fall from its balanced place. When the wheel leans to one direction because we lose our ability to be in balance because we have “checked” out in some manner something has stolen and is holding our attention or energy away from the balanced place in the center of our wheel which was holding everything in relationship to us in balance. This cheese if you will, will slide of the cracker. You will then have to work very hard to get that piece of cheese not only back onto that cracker but you will have to do it with will / attention because you cannot step off to gather the experiences or cheese to put it back on, mostly you will not have the awareness or attention by practice needed to complete such a feat.

So now we have another issue that comes into play called: holding on. Holding on is not the same as balance or center. Holding on is a reaction to the world we live in when what we do, are taught does not exactly work in our big picture of keeping what we want. It happened by our attention being grabbed away from our self, our balance, our center and yes we allowed it by not having constant awareness. We may feel we have been caught off guard this is a figment of our illusion of blame. We choose for whatever reason to be pulled off or allow ourselves to be pulled off by what we may also be called drama. When we take a bold step towards what has grabbed our attention, the wheel leans and the experiences, resources, relationships scoot to the edge when we see this we stop where we are so that they do not fall off, that we do not loose them and we begin an old pattern of holding on to. We stay that way sometimes for an entire life, never either allowing things to fall off into the abyss or to take a step back into balance. Holding on is a reaction to loosing what we have, however it is our blame since we were the ones that created our person wheel to become so far out of balance as to allow things to slide off. In a balanced place on the center of our person wheel there is not loose or gain and there is plenty of room for everything along the circle of our wheel. Where our bundles of experiences, relationships, resources are placed by spirit during our life and when it becomes full then we pass gracefully on to live again with a new wheel to fill up. Holding on is a reaction to loosing something or someone.
If our ability cannot retain it, hold on to it then we move into failure pattern. If we did not want it then we can in some cases let go and if we choose to do nothing we hold on never doing anything else but that until we croak. Never moving forward, backwards or allowing new experiences. Having full possibilities and potential comes from being at the center of your personal wheel in balance with all your relations, your relationships to everything here in this world. In the biggest part of this relationship can, will include your relationship even to the grass you mow in your yard, you know the one we put toxic chemicals on every year which is a step out of balance with that grass, a step out of balance with the earth and a step out of balance in our families and pets health. We are out of balance all the time day in and out have zero awareness because we have NOT the ability to hold the attention necessary to be in balance at the center of our wheel which makes us an observer in balance with all relations. Even the grass pays when our wheel tips. When we want more and try to find ways to manipulate this world, control this world, to force this world for say more money causes a huge out of balance with all the relations. Something will have to be offered to create a new balance on the wheel from the force of say the money to be brought on the wheel in an unnatural way. Something will have to suffer in the re-balancing, there is always a trade. Maybe the health of your child slides off the wheel because to tipped it in the direction of more money. Eventually your child dies because of that weight and pull that drove to the manipulation to misuse our energy, our attention and the tipping of our personal wheel. By the way our Wheel can cause the tipping pivoting of the Earths personal wheel because all of OUR wheels along with all living things on her are her relations and experiences. First Nation people teach me that you take something, force something and something else will pay for it to adjust or attempt to adjust the wheel back into balance.

Of Course we want what we want in that minute, that week but is it worth it in the end? Most will never know because there is not enough awareness to understand what you are trying to get versus the consequences down the road and what must be giving up. Everything that comes to you in a balance way jives with what is already have on your wheel and in your life and extreme force, conjuring will changes everything I have seen it wipe a whole wheel off, the loose of everything. You may, all of sudden get a slice of consciousness, maybe even get a blink of understanding of what has been done, but the two main stay patterns still exist in you and the strongest is that of going into holding on, do not take another step please god save my kid, but still cannot connect all the dots or adopt a center of balance to full see that your desires, want an attempts to pull them on to your wheel tilting it started to erase the child’s life from your wheel, from your reality in attempt to balance it. Then there is the anger that emerges because GOD did not save your child, because you created an out of balance wheel and the health of your kid was traded for more money, a husband, a house, another drink and whatever else we desire. I know that this seems like such a harsh way to put it but it applies to anything and everything we have a relationship with. We could lose our home in the same manner.

Please remember that I am trying to write about something that I myself have had to learn and most of this teaching does not have a language, it comes in a transfer from the teacher to the student. If it sounds like one hand clapping kind of dialog and you cannot grasp it, please just let it simmer in you and maybe it will become something from in you down the road.

The New Ager’s like to tell us that the choice is between fear and love. It seems like a simple choice; however in my teachings of what I have been taught fear is a byproduct. That our choice is to always be in balance in the center of our wheel and that is that, there is nothing worldly to gain like love or fear, good or bad ceases to exist and becomes the truth of being and is what it is, without all the labels or mess, clutter that this world makes up and we assimilate into the subconscious mind.

When something shows up that steals our untrained attention and we react out of fear which is the byproduct it underwent the deeper layers of emotion we could say or unconscious behavior, our auto pilot default system first. The fear, savior, do something always is the first defense what we do not usually see or feel are the under working chemicals / emotions that when we build awareness and personal work with ourselves will show themselves. So we have fear which is the first defense, the next layer down is the anger, which can flare up if the fear activation, the do something does not hold up. Then we use the anger default program and usually whatever made it through can be stopped once we over react, become a nightmare or wild animal. However the deeper level that most people will never see unless they do some heavy personal work is the guilt. The anger trigger is such a strong one that it keeps anyone including ourselves from every seeing the guilt, ever. We may feel the guilt as panic attacks; I feel that most heart issues are related to the guilt program that is like a gene of some kind of genetic program within us.
We live in a way that we cannot see the guilt and in some cases there is simple no vocabulary for it, I have found in my own life that it is a societal workings and early on in your life the training of it came in looks, grunts and other non vocabulary behavior from everyone around you. Which makes it that much more complicated to bring into a frame work of understanding. This guilt not only triggers the holding on pattern but it also triggers that failure process in us and in some case the giving up which is basically no different than the holding on. Since both of them stop any progress in any direction for a length of time or life time. When we can start to notice, step into the guilt which means we are going to have to feel it, sit with it, we are not going to be able to our think through it, since it is a non verbal arrangement. Our choice to break through so that we may gain some kind of balance on our wheel in ourselves is to sit with the suffering of it, the panic of it and do nothing, offer no reaction and each time we do so we let go of it a bit more, the hold it has over us. How you came to this place does not matter, who is to blame does not matter those are reactions, illusions the subconscious needs to throw up to keep you from looking and dealing with the feeling of intensity that guilt is and the chemical triggers that our brain under goes whenever the system is breached by such things that expose it.

What I am attempting to offer here is that when we move into, we react to, we get stuck places of holding on or giving up in the process of failure that is a chemical trigger in the brain causing it to seem so much more that it is, we should sit, even lock yourself in a closet if you must, hold yourself, breath and let it go. When your wheel of life has been leaning so harshly to one side and the people, relationships, resources are sliding off the end or about to, just step back to the center, hold yourself and let go of whatever it is that may be gone now, that may have slide off and know that there is much more to add to your wheel of experiences today, tomorrow by keeping yourself aware, not giving up or holding on as reactions to failure and the inner guilt. I leave with a pray. As I know this process is walking straight up hill with no visible path kind. You have to find your own way and keep trying until your wheel is in full balance and you are the center of your personal wheel and personal universe.

May you continue to bring yourself to the center of your personal wheel in a good way. May you become balanced with all your relations in a good way. May you learn to hold your attention to the place of balance with in you, thus holding the balance for all things here in a good way. May you find your balance in a good way to hold a piece of balance for our precious Mother Earth before it is too late.
So it is, so shall it be, NOW! AHO

Factory Farming…

fort bragg mr t

As you can tell by the photo Mr. T is a free range turkey. If you look carefully in the background you can see one of his girlfriends she is laying down in the brush. Turkeys are more like a harem. Mr. T had 6, he was very busy! He is dancing for me in this photo he had a crush on me who was his human care takers. This is how he courts his ladies. Sometimes the male turkey can dance for up to 20 minutes.

I have a special place in my heart for turkeys and their added benefit to any personal backyard, urban farm, community (CSA oriented) peri-urban farm or large scale farm.

This is a link to a documentary that shows what can go wrong in factory animal farming:

http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/turlock/

It may shock you to hear the farm animals do not have any rights and have no legal protection under the domestic animal laws. This means that they can be treated in harshest and most abusive ways possible. In the past I have helped to educate people about the outright inhumane treatment of farm animals the shock to them so severe that in less than one day have become 100 percent vegetarians and vegans. Though it is not the only step we can take in changing out diets radically by stopping our meat consumption to stop the monstrous behavior by factory farmers. We also need to support those farmers who are raising animals with a sense of sustainability and natural partnership to make real change.  Put your money where your dinner plate is!

Factory Farm: a large industrialized farm; especially:  a farm on which large numbers of livestock are raised indoors in conditions intended to maximize production at minimal cost.

I always ask the question, same question to people I know and meet who live in a sustainable manner what their definition of sustainable is? In my own attempt to find what I believe the word really means. What I can tell you today is that for me sustainable means: to relearn something that is within me already, becoming a natural self, living in a natural way, being a authentic natural being living with nature. As nature lives so do I and there should be no separation where in myself and nature, that is sustainability. Nature knows who to do everything; it is a perfect system of thrival, thriving, prosperity, abundance with all needs being met by everyone for everyone. We once knew how to work with nature, we once worshiped her and she has had many names including: Demeter goddess of all life or nature. In her mythology she once withheld life, growth from the people of earth to see her daughter again. The ruler of the dark underworld Hades kid napped Demeter’s daughter for his wife. Demeter or nature stopped in a reaction of upset. Hades had to make a deal so that nature would again start living again for the people of earth. A deal was made and so in what is called winter her daughter stayed with Hades and when she was released to Demeter then summer began. It continues on to this day.

Most of us do not know what has happened to the food we eat and I truly believe that if you knew, you would make a serious effort to change it. Factory, industrial, commercial whatever you choose to call it is not only bad for the people who eat these animals produced from these farms, it is bad for the farmers who have been forced into this way of life as a way to stay in business to hold onto their families farm lands and mostly importantly it is the most horrific possibility for the animals that end up on them. There is just no way you can handle, maintain or take care of a massive amount of animals in a very small area in any natural/sustainable way. 17,000 chickens in a building with no proper air quality, no sunlight and the people that work in them wear respirators because the conditions are so bad. You could not just all of a sudden let 17,000 birds or chickens outside to be sustainable. There is not enough food for them to eat, what about the people who live around you, releasing diseases into the environment and the bottom line these chickens have spent all their lives in this fake environment created by humans. These chickens would not be able to survive in a natural setting as all of their basic instincts have been forced and abused out of them. Not to mention the astronomical amount of antibiotics that these factory animals are feed and injected with to keep them alive in conditions that cause unavoidable diseases. I am not just talking about birds it is affecting all farm animals across the board. How does flu from a bird or a swine flu from a pig come into existence? That transfers from animal making a human so sick they die, well here it is folks it may be linked to how the animals are treated on factory farms.

If the factory farm collapses like in the documentary Turlock that I have provided a link to there is no options for the animals but to let them die. There are several reasons this can happen: when the farmer is tired, when he emotionally cannot handle the type of high maintenance farm a factory farm is, when he may no longer be able afford to feed the animals, when the farmer gets sick and can no longer manage his farm. So many reasons come to mind about why a monoculture kind of farming will fail at some point.

Let’s look at homesteading, organic, biodynamic, community and urban farming. You only have as many animals as you have land and natural food for them. The animals naturally become free range which allows them to move around in open spaces; getting a large amount of sunlight which naturally is a disinfectant, antibacterial as well as vitamin D. this free range allows them to find with their own natural abilities the best food possible. The animals have a inherent skill and know to graze away from the poisonous weeds that also grow in pastures. Unlike animals that do not graze and are strictly feed dry alfalfa where these weeds are harvested along with it and the animal cannot separate the weeds from its food supply. Causing long term liver damage to animals that are strictly feed it year around. I also work on animals and I get many calls about health issues in horses and their back ends dragging. Always comes back to the food, the liver meridian and the toxic levels of horses that live in desert climates, with no pasture and only feed low grade that usually have highs amounts of the weeds per volume it is usually chemically treated as well. Currently there are farmers who are growing certified weed free alfalfa.

Grazing has numerous benefits; it is the full circle of life and continuation of life in a natural way for those animals living on that land. Animals eat the pasture grasses, they fertilize it as they eat, with the hooves mash the fertilizer tilling it into the soil, the microbes get a hold of it breaking it down further in nutrient ready for the grasses and over time the soil becomes darker and richer providing a natural state in which nutrient dense grasses grow for the animals to eat. Perfectly natural process, there is no work needed and the cycle can go on endlessly without effort. Maybe the only necessary work is to irrigate the pasture from time to time if rain is not available and to bring the animals in at night (most of them come in on their own at dark as long as their pins are open) and in the am reopening the pins so they can head out for work on their own.

One of the best natural method/s of pest controls is to be found with the birds. They are most efficient masters of eating bugs. Bugs are bird’s number one favorite food. Farming varieties of birds included are: chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese when allowed to free range will clean up over time most out of control bugs. Remember that these birds also love good home grown produce. You may want to put in place barriers around garden areas that have current produce in them. When the season is over, let the birds into those areas to eat up what is left, scratch up the soil and eat bugs! I build home family food production systems called urban farms the farm implies an animal of some sort. Usually for pest controls, natural fertilizer and food. Everyone is different in the choice of what animals they choose for the back yards or urban farm. Animals that are best fit are: chickens for laying eggs, chickens for meat called fryers and rabbits. Most local butchers teach classes on how to slaughter and if you are in with a good local farmer he can show you to. If you do not have the stomach for it then laying hens are up your alley. It is always good to educate yourself on the proper care of any animals you choose to have for whatever reason. There are many methods of care or lack of out there and my advice would be to follow the thoughts, ideas and philosophies that treat animals with love and respect following the principles of nature as close as you can.

I want to leave a small thought about nutrition which is one of many you are dealing with when considering your choices in farming products and where they come from. Most factory or commercial farms for cows as meat do not let the animals move around and are kept in filthy small pens. The cows on these farms are feed very little alfalfa, no natural grasses and large amounts of GMO corn, GMO soy beans and litter. Litter is what comes out of factory (chicken fryers, laying hens, turkeys) buildings, it is ground up and given to cows to eat. The litter contains: droppings, feathers, dead animals, decaying animal parts, dander, chicken feed and who really knows what else. Cows are only grass eaters, they only eat grass, the cow was not designed to eat anything other than green beautiful pasture, that is why is has 4 guts. I have read that in the main stream or factory cattle farms cows are literally in the processes of death and are “dying” when they are slaughtered. The diet they give the cows is the cause. Similarity in humans as our diets are not what we are eating either. We are suppose to eat little meat, lots of veggies, grains, fruits but very rarely do so and instead eat the main stream diet of fast food which is something humans are not meant to eat. We get fat, sick, tired and usually die young from one of the numerous diseases that come from eating the main stream diet. Last fact, silica is a mineral that is considered the fountain of youth. It is important for many reasons to the body processes and systems for anti aging and longevity. We get much of our silica in high amounts from eating animals that eat lots of green, soil rich grasses. Apparently silica is found in high amounts in grasses of microbial rich soil. Even chickens in a free range lifestyle eat massive amounts of grasses daily. Eating factory farmed meat contains zero silica the bottom is that you are missing out on a natural mineral eaten by animals in a nature raised way. How many other nutrients are you losing out on by buy factory farmed meat? I know what you are getting instead: pesticides, gmo/s, antibiotics, hormones, steroids and whatever else I do not know about.

Know your farmer: get out, tour farms that are organic and use natural process like free range, ask the farmers what they feed the animals; small farms are popping up everywhere, purchase meat/s from farmers who care, are sustainable and are moral.

Buy organic meat/s: buy organic meat that is labeled from the place, farm that it was raised on. If the store, butch does not know or is vague do not buy the meat. Honest is of real value in the search for real meat for your table.

Build your own urban farm: you can build a year around food production in your own yard, patio or kitchen.  When consulting for urban farm builds I focus on at least 20 percent of the food they are eating and feeding their animals come from their back yards. When all is said and done off a ¼ acre in the summer months you can usually get 95 percent. Then you know what your animals are eating, what you are eating and you have control over it.

If you are a meat eater please take responsibility for what you choose to consume. Farm animals deserve better treatment from us we are the stewards of all living things on earth. There are many documentaries out there on the dangers of factory farming so please educate yourself so that you fully understand the lies, deception and propaganda out there. If we are willing to pay more for better quality food then I believe the factory farmers would change they are being held as prisoners in the economy just like the rest of us are. No one wants to be cruel to animals, every farmer would much rather see their animals grazing on their lands in the sun shine. It is up to the consumer, we make the choices for all life on earth including our own.

I give the gift of sustainable farming during the holiday season and my favorite gift is the hive of bees. With so much going on that is killing our bee populations I feel that it is a much needed gift to give.  We cannot have sustainability without our bee friends. To gift sustainability please go to: http://www.heifer.org/ and find your level of giving.

Healing our Animal Pals…

horsedogcatchicken

I wanted to write a piece about the spiritual science of health and that it covers every living thing on earth. I venture to say that I know more about this kind of healing and I am using it in the context of animals today.

I have worked in the field of healing for domestic, farm animals and have also worked with these animals as aids in healing for almost 35 years now. Having began this work about age 10.  The kind/s of work I do on animals is pretty much the same as people. However animals can be great allies in healing for humans, plants, earth and water. The generals in health for animals are similar to humans but one thing that is not the same is how they communicate and not many humans are designed or open enough to hear their inner chatter with animal/s. Humans and animals have both been lumped into modern health care systems that for the most part keep the majority of illness in check, but in the long run breed levels of illness that will go ignored and eventually shorten our lives and the lives our animal brothers and sisters. I do not think there is one size fits all to health and its many levels of function for the organic materials that we are living in and this covers animals to. I am not going to debate soul or no soul about animals, which I think is a dumb ass debate since everything is energy and everything that has ever lived as energy will always be. I am in no way the expert and since energy flows, weaves, vibrates, changes constantly. I prefer to stay on the end of watching, adapting and study to provide better health remedies. I find new pieces to my health and healing puzzle every day. It is not finite.

The work I currently do with animals is as follows: medical intuitive work that mostly is about listen and watching the animal, I do not do animal communication work, restoration and recovery of health through structural actions, [AUP] a brain re-boot system that can arrest disease of all kinds, animal chiropractic studied with the man who created it in America, acupuncture and traditional Osteopathic medicine,, shamanism healing work, herbal medicine and at least 5 types of energy healing on the animals. Though I have more defined work on people for the fact of advertising, my work with animals sometimes is much more powerful for me than working on people. Yes, there are many times I must shift the health of the people who manage and master the animals in poor health. Animal/s can be collectors, clearing the health issues of the human/s on an emotional level. Over time becomes too much and the animal/s energy field is so over burdened and it dies. When we are looking at animal health it seems to me there are many more branches that simple medicine can handle. We have to really begin to open to the information that has been here for 1000 of years. It is known and what medicine has become is not very old, not well tested. I want to add here that I have witnessed what dark spirit/s, energies, and force/s, possession/s of home and people that are big serious threats for animals. Many animals die with unexplained illnesses from exposure to these entities or are beaten to death by these forces that see them as weaker. If you feel that your animal/s is being threatened it is your duty to remove them to a safe place until you get the situation under control.

In the powerful healing work by Black Elk and what he became capable of doing, what he came to know and learn, he said it came from the bear. Black Elk in many accounts said that he followed two different bears around to learn his craft. One of the bears was physical form and Black Elk would follow this bear into the forest watching the bear dig up roots and plants daily learning the physical medicine bear was doing. Black Elk learned how to use medicines hidden in the earth from bear to cure people in his tribe and many others who came to him by his exceptional reputation for healing. Bear is the master of health in the physical world; bear knows how to heal with roots, herbs and plants in the woods and the forest. The second bear was what I call the “night dream” bear or spirit bear. The dreaming world bear came to Black Elk as an alley, teacher and taught him how to use the medicines of the bear for people. Bear would come to Black Elk in the dream world as a teacher.

Dr. Jarvis says in his folk medicine book about how our pioneer ancestors learned about the plants and ways to heal when coming to America. He implies that it was watching and learning from the animals. Jarvis writes: I have come to marvel at the instinct of animals to make use of natural laws for healing themselves. They know unerringly which herbs will cure what ills. Wild creatures first seek solitude and absolute relaxation, then they then rely on the complete remedies of Nature – the medicine in plants and pure air. A bear grubbing for ferns roost; a wild turkey compelling her babies in a rainy spell to eat the leaves of the spice bush; an animal bitten by a poisonous snake, confidently chewing snakeroot – all of these typical examples. An animal with fever quickly hunts up and airy, shady place near water, there remaining quiet, eating nothing but drinking often until its health is recovered. On the other hand, an animal bedeviled by rheumatism finds a spot of hot sunlight and lies in it until the misery bakes out.

In another blog I am writing we will discuss nutritional ideas for animals and how to help them find and get what they need.

From the book, The teachings of Don Carlos: Don Juan often referred to the existence of magical animals whose magic made them practically invulnerable; they were not likely to be captured by hunters. Their power was derived from the fact that – unlike ordinary animals- they had no routines. This endowed them with the lightness, freedom, and extraordinary power. He said it would be fortunate indeed to encounter one of these beings. The same holds true for plants and other living beings. The energy of a tree, for instance, can be so powerful that it simply resting in its shade or among its branches will produce a great, generally beneficent, effect.

Lastly I wanted to write about my Great Grand Mother my first Shamanic/ Medicine Woman in my life. Still to this day she is the most powerful being I have come in contact with on earth. This story is not a new story; many of us have heard a version of this story told about a person of great awareness in our past history. However what I am writing about here is a story about Billy my early light of this world and teacher. This story was told to me by her daughter my grand mother who was a real “prophet”. I was told that my bloodline of women on my mother’s side went back before the times of Jesus and that the women in Jesus’s life were from the same bloodlines of shaman level lineage that I come from. Our women taught Jesus the arts that he later used and became famous for. We taught Jesus how to use elemental forces as in walking on water, turning water into wine, hands on healing and manifesting thousands of fish from one. What Jesus did was old school sorcery arts, elemental power and forces, the power in lives in everything and can manifest world/s, things, actions and events into the reality around us. This knowledge is used by dark energies and light. Choice is always the users. Animals seem to be not easily possessed by dark forces and why they seem to be harmed first or removed first by dark forces.

I was told that Billy my great grand mother not only healed people, earth but animals as well. She believed in the power that animals had to help, heal themselves and our job was to connect them to the power within and take notes, assisting the animal in its own healing. It should be mentioned that all healers are facilitators and magicians. Whenever people brought the sick to us our family it was out of desperation. We were never fully accepted into the world we live to much religious doctrine to keep the masses under control and asleep for centuries and invested serious fear about us. Our people, my people were not the norm even to this day. There are controllers of the main stream field/s of alternative medicine and they have made ever attempt to constantly threatening me, destroying my work and just project darkness towards me. My work surpasses what can be found in the main stream alternative, it is impeccable and it threatens the foundation of the main stream which is also propaganda built. I cannot even imagine the strength the women doing this work before me what they endured but I can only be great’ful that they were impeccable and their medicine flows through me and some others to this day. now the rest of the story.

One day a man brought his prize horse that was very sick to Billy. Nothing the man was doing including having the horse looked over medical personnel was of any benefit to the horse. The man did not want to loose his horse and in this mans last ditch effort took the horse to Billy. Billy told the man to leave the horse and come back in several days to retrieve it.

Immediately Billy looked over the horse, building a connection, a friendship of trust with the being. Billy sat and watched the horse for a full day but nothing came to her about the state of the horse, there was nothing she found visibly to do for it. The next day Billy harnessed the horse and proceeded to take the horse on a long walk through the forest. Billy hoped that the horse’s awareness would wake up, kick in and help her to find the medicine to heal what was disturbing the horse’s health. After several hours the horse began to lean its head towards the ground licking at certain plants in the forest. Billy took this as a sign that these plants the horse was signaling to were what the horse was requesting for her to pick. Every time the horse would lean down and lick at the plant/s, Billy would take the plant/s gently from the earth, placing them into a bundle she carried. The next day Billy returned to her home with horse. She emptied the massive bundle onto the ground. She let the horse give her indications on the medicine plants, roots, and herbs. The horse made no direct indications. Billy lit up her big metal cauldron outside, placed pure water from the stream than ran past her home and then added the medicinal plants into the cauldron. Today we would call this steeping. When the cauldron cooled she brought the horse to it and let the horse drink the medicinal mixture. The horse drank every bit. The next day Billy again made the mixture and the horse drank it. There was a smell that started to come out of the horse and within several days a tumor “like” clump was eliminated by the horse. The man arrived several days later and his horse was completely changed around. Billy explained what had happened and that the man should continue the mixture until the bundle of herbs she handed him was gone. The horse went on to live on for a long time, it was said that the man died much sooner than the horse.

Sometime healing takes us to another level of awareness that does not make sense to our minds. However if used, followed can lead us to wellness in ways we never imagined it can be applied eventually to the world around us and all that is including in our reality especially our animal counter parts. Maybe if we are inclined to adopt a new perspective we could include animals into the sacred world which teaches us and units all living things. And if we can let go of our ego/s and our belief of supremacy over this world maybe we could share in the healing, health and wellness with animal being/s. I suspect we might actually learn something!

Nutritional labels and the Microbs within…

labelbridge

I have been doing alternative care work with animals since I was eight years old and have been working on people for over 25 years now.  The subject that I’m going to be discussing came up in one of my bio-dynamic classes a few months ago.  While on the subject of nutrition, labeling was brought up. I have to say that what I heard stunned me, but I knew deep inside that it was the truth.

So I felt that it was imperative to bring it to the blog and allow others to read this information and act accordingly. It may take some time for this to sink in; I know it did for me.  It shows me that what I still believe in is going on around me, but time and time again the proof is that it is a big lie, a hoax. Nutrition is a serious part of our lives and we are not getting any!

Disease is the breakdown of the microbe  forces in the system. Inflammation is the outcome of the breakdown.  All disease in the body starts with inflammation and the aging process is one of inflammation.  If you’re able to slow down or completely eradicate the inflammation, you will become disease free and will look 30 years younger.  Nutrient and a vegetable-based diet are the keys.  Just because you eat vegetables or what you may think is a “good diet” does not mean it has nutrition in it unless the food is grown by farmers who are aware of the soil values.  Even if the food is considered “organic” it may not have nutrient in it.  You may not be aware of this, but leaf veggies lose all of the nutrient three days after they are cut from the plant.  How old is the lettuce in your fridge in that plastic bag?

The following is a short and brief explanation of what inflammation is. When Western medicine looks at your blood to diagnose your disease, they are looking at a cellular level, at the cell.  This is why most treatments do not work.  You have to look deeper, much deeper.  “Alternative medicine” which is actually ”traditional medicine” in some parts of the world such as Asia, Russia, India and all Native peoples, dates back over 10,000 years.  Western medicine which is typically what you will find at the doctor’s office or hospital is less than a 100 years old.

Some Alternative practitioners use a method called dark field hematology. They prick your finger, get a drop of blood, and put it on a piece of glass and look at it under a microscope.  This technique goes much deeper than the cell.  It is more effective than drawing 40 tubes of blood and Western doctors cannot seem to find anything wrong with you.   However, you know, you feel that something is not right.

I have worked on both sides of this equation.  I spent five months in a hospital doing blood work, lab work as an intern. What I witnessed there was frightening and Western medicine says that alternative is barbaric!  There’s no love, no caring  in those places, just dollar bills.  I only practice the alternative and have most of my life.  Especially in the last ten years since being diagnosed with a brain tumor, I am very serious about what kind of treatments I do, what choices I make about my body, and who I go to for it.  It took me years to heal myself.  And the bottom line is this: nutrition and diet are the only things that can reverse what ails you, period.  You may be spirit in a body, but you cannot exist here without this body and the body needs clean, green, nutrient-rich food to run its biological functions.  Otherwise, the body slowly dies.

Microbe 101.  In every cell you have a microbe. When the body is healthy, the microbe stays in the middle of the cell.  The pressure is perfect for them in the red cell.   When water and oxygen are being absorbed by the cell, the microbes are happy.  Stress, disease, injuries can cause an astronomical shift in the cells.   Not enough water or exercise can also result in the body taking in less air and will disrupt the cells’ environment.

Thinking is also on this list.  Negative thinking, fear, and stress produce the cortisol hormone.  Think of this along the same line as having battery acid running through your system which causes serious damage.  When the cell becomes tired, damaged, or is not being fed proper nutrient in the food supply, the microbe  leaves the cell and inflammation is created.  I am mainly focusing on the red blood cells.   If this course of action continues over an extended period of time, say, 20 years,  the cells that are the most damaged will develop into cancer and many other diseases.  I define the word ”disease” as anything that happens to the body that is countering the health, vitality and energy of the body.  Bruce Lipton has many lectures on this topic.  You may want to watch his stuff on the net.

There is another very serious issue here as well.  When the microbe leaves the cell and the cell can no longer absorb water or air it becomes limp and will stick to other cells.   This is inflammation.  When this happens, it causes a red cell stroke as the cells cannot get through the channels.  I have known many people who had a stroke and were cut open to find nothing that would have caused it, such as placque on the walls, etc.      This is because it was a red cell stroke due to heavy amounts of inflammation blocking and clogging the blood flow channels.

Fresh, green local organic produce grown by people who love to farm, harvested and eaten right away have oxygen, the max amount of nutrient and filtered water taken in by the plant.  These are the three crucial ingredients needed by the microbes and cells.  The gentleman who authored “The Maker’s Diet” talks about having five diseases by age 25 and was dying.  He came from a long line of western doctors who were unable to help him.  He ended up eating rich, black soil /dirt to heal himself and within six months was completely healed.  This is because the soil was rich in nutrient and healthy microbes that his system needed.

In chemical soil, there are no microbes.   In overworked soil, there are no microbes.   In one crop farms, even organic farms, there’s not enough microbes.   That is why sprays and all sorts of chemical fertilizers need to be added because there are not enough microbes to do the job naturally.  This is also the case with your body.   The microbes are the center of your body and how it will operate.  If you do not give the microbes what they need, you will end up taking many chemicals in the form of pills, creams and treatments that will further destroy the microbes.  Radiation kills the microbes that we need to bring health to our bodies.  When you go to the airport and go through the radiation X-ray machine, this will damage and kill the already sick microbes in your body which may ultimately result in your death sentence in the long run.

In some spiritual science circles there is a direct connection to microbes in the soil and water in the form of rain.  Since the 1900s, studies were done by brilliant minds about the correlation to microbes in healthy soil and the ecosystem which brought rain to it and the soil that was lacking microbes by the manner in which it was farmed and the drought that was brought on by it.

The label which I posted on this blog demonstrates what I am talking about right now, this part of the blog. What I am about to tell you should change your thoughts about buying anything in any kind of packaging ever again and that your diet focus should be on growing your own food and eating a vegetable-based diet.  When labeling products first came out in the 50s, it was to legitimately tell consumers the nutrient values in the product after it was processed. Products like orange juice that have been on the market a very long time have never been forced to update the labeling from the first time it was analyzed.  This means that any orange juice company can just add the 1950′s label of the original values onto their product without actually doing their own product study to discover what it truly does and does not contain now in 2012.

The big picture here is that the orchards in which oranges are grown are mono culture, one crop.  They no longer have any nutrient in them!  By the time they process it and cook it to make it safe, any nutrient that may have been present is completely gone.  A plant and tree will produce a fruit.   However, this does not mean that the soil has nutrient or microbes.  The same can be said for the plant producing the fruit and the fruit itself.  We have created a culture of food where we put chemicals on the soil and plants to make them think they are getting what they need to grow and produce fruit, when, actually, we have tricked them.

Looking at labels is a joke!   The older the product, the longer it has been on the market, the less nutrient it will have and companies are not being forced to re-evaluate their products as they are allowed to use the existing labels already on products.  Obviously new products such as pomegranate juice may have more nutrient if the labels were made in the 80′s.  If consumers knew the truth, they would not buy lies.

Beware and be aware of what you’re buying.  Ask questions!  Get the facts and grow your own food or as much as you can.  If you heal the microbes in your own soil and grow the plants you eat, then they will go into your body and heal the microbes within.  If you follow this advice you will never need a doctor again.

Nature is far less JUDGEMENTAL than Humans…

crazy lady chichen and turks 007 (640x480) (2)

The story begins when i met the chicken i chose to name “the crazy lady chicken.”

A few months ago i arrived at the first farming internship (there is a really long story about my intern experience in general and will be presented in a book towards the end of my old age). three days into the farm education I got my first chance to collect the evening eggs from a large cartel of laying hens. Having the farmer educate you about his/her farm is a priority on any farm. Knowing what to do at any time is essential to handling any kind of domesticated animals, including protecting them from the wild ones. A farm is a constant battle against nature!

During the evenings leading up to the moment where crazy lady and I collide, I watched the farmr basically manhandle the crazy lady to get under her to feel if there were any eggs. Back then i knew her as a mean chicken who would growl and peck aggressively. To be honest, i was scare of her. On the third evening it was my turn, egg box in hand, leather gloves on, and away I went to collect the eggs come hell of high water. I opened the door, there were seveal nests in which the hens lay their eggs during the course of the day. I did what any grwn woman would do; I searched the open nests first. Then I turned towards the crazy lady nest. I put my han under her and the batte began. I was so close to her I noticed that she had these wild eyebrows, the kind you see on older men, like giant spiders on a face. She was crazy, the look in her eyes and the way looked. From that time on I have called her the crazy lady. I am thinking you may want t know how i carried out my searches under the crazy lady, I used a broom! I slip the broom under her, lift and a clear shot for any eggs!

Turns out that she neve leaves her nest. She just wants eggs to sit on, she wants to keep them warm, take care of them until they hatch (28 days in this case) and her bottom line is just to be a mom. Because of herbad attitude the other hens avoided her and never laid an egg in her nest. I am pretty sure this made her even more difficult to deal with. Crazy lady just had hios heart felt desire to incubate and raise a family, not too mch to as, right? To make matters a little more complicated we have no rooster, so the crazy lady would have died without realizing her dream of motherhood.

Enter the turkeys. We have Turkeys and boy do I love turkeys. Though our turkeys and hens share a pen during the day (free range), they all lay eggs, they are pretty simliar besides the size difference. they all seem to get along. Turkey eggs are the same size as hen eggs and have a tendency to have a type of speckle look on the shell, this is how we tell the eggs apart.

Sometime ago, long before i moved to the farm to inten the farmer bought the turkeys in a box through the mail. We think that we can just buy animals, plants but when we allow them to undergo the natural processes ofwho and what they are not only are thre permanent flaws, but their offspring will also suffer. Generations need to exist on the same land, a farm for successful natural breeding and this also applies to plants. It is either a quick meal to fill the belly or medicine for body whic do you prefer?

We have 7 turkeys at the time of this story 6 female and one turd of a male turkey. We know for a fact that the male is fertile however he is not the brightest bulb dealing “between the sheets”. there are times when he literally cannot find th area he needs to be implanting.  I have witnessed the females turkeys get pretty my at the guy. The female turkeys were laying eggs for month, they never could hatch them. they were missing basic skills. I had no idea until i was present on the farm that these are issues animals have. If we look around we see them present within our whole society and we want to create life in a test tube? what are we thinking and what are we not taking repsonsiblity for? These adult turkeys were hatched in a box under a light, and then mailed by snail mail to the farmer. They have no identity and social skills because they were not properly sat on in a nest, cared for, managed, rotated and raised by a live care taker with love and care.  They were not protected, they were not shown how to eat, what to eat, how to care, nurture and raise off spring.  Now you would think that it would just be in there somewhere in the genes maybe? It seems not to be. These turkeys were just like so many people who basically hatch out their kids and ignore them. the results are unsatisfactory, to say the least. Our turkeys could not figure out how to sit on their nests, how many should sit on one nest (up to 3 some days which crushed many of their eggs) and where to lay the eggs. The female turkeys became so thin. Brooder animals will sit on the eggs until they hatch. the brooder is an animal who will take responsiblity for all the eggs layed even if they did not lay most of them. The brooder will sit on the eggs until they hatch; they will starve themselves, as the eggs are the most vital thing at that time for them. In the case of our turkeys they were not able to practice the basic nesting skills their eggs never hatched.  if they never have an egg hatch the do not remember to eat, they continue to sit and sit. Eggs can last a month or so before they need to be sat on to start the process of incubation.

The farmer understood what was happen to the turkeys and began collecting their eggs as soon they egg was laid. The farmer was not sure what he was going to do with them. The farmer had about 10 turkey eggs he had been saving, his desire was to come up with a solution to hatching the eggs. One day the farmer realized that there were many chickens that were brooding and that one of hem could be put on to the turkeys eggs to hatch them. The next day we rolled a big wooden box with a door into the hen pen, cleaned it, put straw in it, water and food. That night the farmer put the turkey eggs in the straw and in the dark the hen of choice was placed on top. The next day we looked in the box and the hen was not interested. What to do? What to do? The only real choice all along was  the crazy lady; her destiny was always shown to us. The very next night the old crazy lady finally got the chance se had been  waiting for. She was put in the box after dark and when we looked the next morning she was in complete bliss. Crazy lady had that nest fixed up all the eggs tucked in, her body spread as far in all directions that she coul physically manage. She was so happy, proud and doing what her hearts desire wanted to do. She did not care that the eggs she was sitting on belong to the turkeys; she just wanted to nurture them with all her heart. Crazy lady was the most comitted mother to those eggs for 28 days.

It was a Tuesday evening we heard peeps from the brooding box. The eggs had hatched. Five of the 10 eggs hatched she was very protective, she would growl at us and hide them under and behind her. The baby turkeys being very curious would try to look around her to see us and the crazy lady would just tuck them back and preparing for a battle in case we came to close. They are hers, she teaches them, they listen and watch her carefully. She shows them how to get the best bugs with patients and sometimes she even will share hers. These turkeys are getting the proper raising it will change the cycle and how they raise their offspring. they will in turn become good mothers with the skills of “how to” that the grumpy crazy old lady chicken gave them.

I know any of us have a heart felt desires that never seem to manifest. Maybe like the crazy lady we had our own agenda of how, why, when and what was supposed to arrive. A bit of advice… when spirit comes in the night and delivers not exactly what we wanted, we may need to open ourselves and treat “it” as if it is what we wanted for at least 28 days.
